Job Description

We’re looking for a Communications Specialist who can help us expand our reach and connect with the right clients. With an established portfolio of wedding films and a growing portfolio of small business work, we’re looking to better showcase our films and more clearly define and distinguish our approach. The Communications Specialist will help us update our online and social platforms to showcase our work, streamline our client-facing processes and communications to ensure clients know what to expect, and develop strategies and resources for reaching new clients, especially as we begin to offer more family film services. This may include: writing blog posts, managing social media channels, creating analytics reports, creating advertisements and digital brochures, and updating web pages. The Communications Specialist will also support our client outreach program as we work to share our decade of knowledge from the wedding industry with other vendors and potential clients in an effort to support meaningful, sustainable, and intentional wedding practices on Vancouver Island.

Please note that due to COVID-19, the selected applicant will be asked to work remotely and will be required to have a stable and reliable internet connection. If COVID-19 restrictions ease throughout the summer, some in-person meetings may be requested.
