Vancouver Wedding Video | Ben + Alison | Vancouver Rowing Club Wedding, Vancouver, BC

Handwritten letters, people. They’re always worth it.

We talk a lot about creating films that tell your story. Throughout our pre-production process, we work with couples to learn their story, find ways for them to share their story on their wedding day, and tie their story to their wedding day. When it all comes together, this can create a personal, story-driven film that’s absolutely perfect.

Ben and Alison didn’t need our help. They came prepared.

This wedding at the Vancouver Yacht Club was absolutely perfect, and it was one of those nights where it was hard for us to pack up our gear and go home, because we were having such a good time. We knew from our first meeting with Ben and Alison that they had a wonderful, emotional, romantic story that wasn’t just about them - it was about all of their friends and family who helped bring them to where they are today. And when they told us that they’d be writing letters to each other for the morning of the wedding, we were over the moon. We weren’t disappointed - their letters tied the story together perfectly and gave both Ben and Alison a chance to say how they felt about each other without everyone watching. This can be a great alternative to saying personal vows, especially for anyone who’s feeling a little nervous about speaking in front of people.

But these two didn’t shy away from personal vows either. No - in fact, they nailed the personal vows, right down to the fact that they promised each other a couple of dogs and a cat.

You could feel the emotion running strong throughout every part of this day, and it was perfect. By the time the dance party came around, we were ready to party, and once again, Ben and Alison didn’t disappoint. These two were on the dance floor all night, and the party didn’t stop!

We couldn’t have had a better time at this wedding, and we couldn’t be happier with the love-filled, emotional, and joyful film that resulted from it.
